Obituary for Audrey Wanamaker

Audrey Wanamaker, wife of the late Frank D. Wanamaker, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2020 at Tucker Hall – Shannex, Saint John. Audrey was born in Saint John on October 19, 1917 and was the daughter of the late George and Ethel Mitchell.

Audrey is survived by her three children, Janet Capson of Saint John, Jean Biddle (John) of Bridgewater, NS and David Wanamaker (Linda) of Ottawa, ON. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son-in-law Robert W. Capson.

Audrey was a life-long resident of Saint John, graduating from Saint John High School, and the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing – where she met her husband, Frank.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Chateau de Champlain, and later Shannex for making Audrey’s final years as comfortable as possible.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). As per Audrey’s wishes, a family gathering will be held at a later date.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com
