Obituary for Dismas Bourque

1936 - 2020
Moncton, NB — It is with great sadness that the family of Dismas Bourque (Des, Dick) announces his passing on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton. Born in Memramcook, NB, on August 2, 1936, he was the son of the late Albert and Alma (LeBlanc) Bourque.

Dismas leaves behind his daughter, Gisèle (Bill) Homeney of Belleisle Bay; his son, Ricky (Sheri) of Rothesay; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his siblings, Arthur (Jan) of Moncton, Ella Gallant (Late Tony) of Oshawa, ON, Dorice (Don) Manness of Bowser, BC, Donalda Williams (Late Stewart) of Hanna, AB and Noel (Linda) of Oshawa, ON; also by survived by several nieces, nephews and his special friend, Marie Anne Henrie of Moncton.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his infant sister, Odilla; his first wife, Germaine LeBlanc; his second wife, Corrine Gallant; one infant daughter, Cindy; one son-in-law, Duane Parks; one great grandson, Tyler Homeney; his brother, Camille (late Dora) and his sisters, Stella Chouinard (late Victor) and Alma Dupuis (late Lionel).

Dismas was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8094 in Saint John and #1310 in Moncton. He was a member of the 4 degree and Faithful Navigator. He was also a past President of 30 up Club in Saint John as well as organizing dances for the Special Olympics.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Dialysis Unit at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel (625 Mountain Road, Moncton), on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 7pm to 9 pm. There will be no visitation the morning of the funeral. Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church (87 Murphy Ave, Moncton), on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11 am. Reception to follow. A private graveside service will be held in the afternoon in St. Philippe cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. The family invites you to sign an online book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.
