Obituary for Harold Dole

Harold “Harry” Dole, 71, of Moncton, passed away peacefully within the comforts of his home on Friday, February 7, 2020. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Ora and Vivian (Fairweather) Dole.

Harold was a retired teacher having taught at Moncton High School and retired from Bernice McNaughton High School. He is a member of the Moncton Retired Teacher’s Association. Harold took great joy in woodworking and in his younger years he enjoyed wrestling and playing football. Later in life he took great pleasure in coaching both wrestling and football.

Harold will be sadly missed by his sisters, Jean Branscombe (late Harold), June Jones, Barbara McGill (late Mitchell) all of Moncton and Shirley Goodwin (Robert) of Quispamsis; sister in law, Rose Dole of Dartmouth, NS; many nieces, nephews and extended family members; k-9 companion, Hank Jr.

In addition to his parents Harold was predeceased by his brother, Cecil Dole.

Private Family Graveside Service to be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, at a later date. Arrangements under the professional care and guidance of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995).

Donations in memory of Harold can be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be shared on the Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook page or at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
