Obituary for Clara Louise Solomon

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Clara Louise Solomon “Doo” of Kingsclear First Nation on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Hospice House, Fredericton. Born in Milo, Maine USA, she was a daughter of the late Charles Solomon Sr. and Gertrude Geraldine Tomer.

Louise worked as an Agricultural Technician, was a three-time National Champion Dart player, and an avid bingo player. She enjoyed music, outdoor fires, gathering with family and friends, travelling, and her fur babies. She shared a deep love for her family that was felt by all who knew her.

Survived by her wife Valerie (her Indian), her brothers and sisters; Natalie Solomon-Grey, Francis Solomon (Karen), Charles Solomon Jr., Sarah Sacobie, Cathy Wilson (Dennis), Becky Sirois (Marc), Tony Solomon (Barbara), Peter Solomon (Sarah), Theresa Polchies (David), chosen sister Emily Love-Bell, chosen son Anthony Solomon (Christa), chosen daughter Alana Brooks, chosen grandchildren Anthony, Kylie, Xavier, Kasia, Tessa, Cassie and Ethan, 23 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, several more great-great-nieces and nephews; all of which she considered her babies.

Visiting hours will be held at 180 Paul Street, St. Mary's First Nation on Monday, February 10th at 2pm until the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 12th at 11AM with Father Curtis Sappier officiating, assisted by Father Monte Peters. A reception will follow in the St. Mary's Entertainment Center (Hall B).

Memorial donations in Clara's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Fredericton.
