Obituary for Howard Hallett

With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Howard Frederick Hallett of Salmon Arm, BC, as a result of a vehicle accident on February 4, 2020. He was a son, brother, husband, father, and helping friend to many.

Howard was born on March 1, 1945, one of twin boys, in Millville, NB, to his parents, James and Dorothy Hallett. In later years, he moved to British Columbia, married his soulmate Leslie LeBarron, and they have two adult daughters, Sondra and Samantha. Next to his family, his love would have been motorcycles of any kind. He and his wife attended every event they could. They loved doing fund raisers for anyone in need. He was generous with his time and his talents, and was known to be called the “gentle giant“.

Howard leaves to mourn the LeBarron families, Saskatchewan; and his birth families, brothers: his twin, Clarence (Jan), Prince George, BC; Robert (Carol), Newcastle, Indiana; Murray (Rhonda), Langley, BC and James (Julie), Draydon Valley, AB; sisters Elisabeth Hallett, Sackville, NB; Dianne Schriver, Rossville, NB and Marguerite (Ellis) Fawcett, Nortondale, NB, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Jamie and Gordon Drost; sister-in-law Barbara Steele; and brother-in-law Alton Schriver.

A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, February 11, 2020, under the direction of Bowers Funeral Service in Salmon Arm, BC.

Personal condolences may be sent to his wife at office@bowersfuneralservice.com or to his NB family at www.flewellingswan.com
