Obituary for Dale Myers

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Reginald Myers on February 7th, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Saint John, New Brunswick. Born in Saint John on October 10th, 1954, he was the son of the late Carol and Reginald Myers.

Dale retired in 2010, after 35 years of service with NAV Canada as an accomplished Flight Service Specialist. He enjoyed playing, coaching and refereeing minor hockey in both Charlo and Saint John. Some of his hobbies included shooting pool, playing poker, snowmobiling, hunting, golfing and baseball. During the summer months, Dale enjoyed spending time at his family’s cottage on the Belleisle Bay.

Dale is survived by his wife of 40 years, Germaine, his son, Scott (Mallory), his daughter, Kelley, his grandchildren, Parker and Havana, his brother, Douglas (Deborah), his brother, Glenn (Kathy) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Dale is predeceased by his sister, Ruth.

As per Dale’s wishes, a celebration of life will take place this summer with his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.

The family would like to express gratitude to the St. Joseph’s CAM unit for the exceptional care Dale received.
