Obituary for Clora Phair

1936 – 2020
Clora Mary (MacDougall) Phair of Miramichi, NB and formerly of Cassilis, NB, wife of the late Robinson “Bob” Phair passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on February 7, 2020 at the age of 84. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Cable) MacDougall.

Clora was a Nurses Aid for 25 years. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 90, as well as the Islandview Senior Citizens Club.

Clora is survived by: two daughters: Cathy (Edward) Babkirk of Quispamsis, NB and Tammy Hannah (Stacy) of Chatham, NB; one son: Vernon (Claudine) Jimmo of Douglastown, NB; four sisters: Catherine MacDougall of Fredericton, NB, Margaret (Ross) Francis of Newcastle, NB, Gertrude Greer of Fredericton, NB and Ellen MacDougall, three grandchildren: Nicholas and James Babkirk and Erin Jimmo.

Besides her parents, Frederick and Elizabeth, Clora is predeceased by: her husband Bob, four brothers: George, James, Edward and Frederick and one sister: Mae.

Visitation was held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi on Sunday evening, February 9, 2020 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The Funeral service was held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Geza Szemök officiating. Organist/Soloist was: Jacqueline Allain. Solo’s were: “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.” Burial will take place at St. Stephen’s United Church Cemetery, Red Bank, NB later in the spring.

As expressions of sympathy, in Clora’s memory donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a memorial of one’s choice. Messages of condolence may be sent through our website at www.bellsmeadows.com .

Funeral arrangements were under the care of Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB E1V 1N9. Telephone 622-3600. A tradition of service to the families of the Miramichi and surrounding communities since 1922.
