Obituary for Doris Berry

1918 – 2020
Doris Berry of Riverview passed away on February 8, 2020 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Newton Heights, she was the daughter of the late James and Laura (James) Bishop.

She was employed as a travelling hairdresser, having travelled Westmorland, Kent and Albert County’s; it led her to owning her own beauty shop in Moncton. Doris later was employed for six years as Metropolitan Stores manager of their fountain operations. She also worked with her family running a hot dog concession, day care center and boarding house. She had spent her time doing scenic painting.

She is survived by sons Kenneth (Jean)Berry and Dan Berry; and her grandchildren: Ron (Karen), Stephen, Roxanne (Leino), Richard, Dale, Rosanne (Paul), Michelle (Roger) LeBlanc, Tammy (Mike) Pratt, John and Shannon (Wayne) Wilbur.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clyde Hinson Berry, daughter Carol Ann Leaman and daughter-in-law Brenda.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Friday from 2 to 4 pm. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mitch Whittington officiating. The interment will take place in Dawson Settlement Baptist Church Cemetery.
