Arthur W. “Art” Parsons, of Riverview, passed away peacefully at Monarch Hall in Riverview, N.B. on February 9, 2020. Born in Amherst, N.S., he was the son of the late Kenneth and Doris (Sprague) Parsons.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years Jeanette (Eveleigh) Parsons, daughters Patricia (Gerry) Lowe of Riverview and Anne (Scott) Blakney of Alma, and son Kenneth (Bonnie Hyslop) Parsons of Riverview, along with grandchildren Geoff, Jon, Kyle, Alex, Shawn, Jessica, John, Ben, Sasha, Jacob and his great-granddaughter Mya.

Art served as Associate President of the Air Force Veterans Club of Moncton for many years, was a longtime member of the Amherst Golf Club and a former member of the Moncton Press Club.

Art will long be remembered for his incredible storytelling abilities, prowess around the pool table and his love of spending time with family and friends at his cottage in Jackson’s Point, N.S.

In keeping with Art’s wishes there is no visitation or funeral service at this time. A celebration of Art’s life for family and friends will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007).
