Obituary for Matha Young

The family of the late Martha Young are sad to announce her passing which occurred on February 16, 2020 at Bobby's Hospice. Born in Saint John on October 4, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Marie (Murray) and Gregory Dougherty.

Also predeceased by her brother Dan Dougherty of Timberlea, Nova Scotia.

Martha was the best wife, mother, grandmother and sister a family could have.

Survived by her husband Eric, sons; Steve (Melissa) and Mark of Saint John, sister Ann (Gary) Nesbit of Lower Sackville, NS, grandchildren; Gabrielle, Bennett, Paige, Peyton and Ethan along with several nieces and nephews, their spouses and children, her aunt Joan Evans of Dartmouth, NS and her cousin Kelliann (Chris) Dean of Tantallon, NS.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.

Many thanks for the professional and compassionate care given to Martha on her journey.
