Obituary for Gerald Flagg

(1957-2020)
Mr. Gerald Clarence Flagg, 63, of North Head, Grand Manan Island, NB, passed away at home after a long and hard battle with cancer, on Sunday, February 16, 2020.

After graduating, Jerry moved off the Island to start his Carpentry Trade. Once completed, he returned home to begin his fishing career with his father. When his father Leroy retired in 1997, Jerry took over the Dulse business alongside his wife Joanne. Jerry fished lobster with his son Justin until December, 2018. Jerry was a loving husband, father and Papa.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Joanne (Shelton) Flagg, of 42 years, his children, Jody Flagg; Justin (Carla) Flagg and Jada (Zach) Mason all of Castalia; one granddaughter Kasey; four grandsons, Tristin, Gage, Kayden, Koden; two great grandchildren, Jersey and Tanner; one sister Rommona Fanning; two brothers John (Amanda) Stevens and Millen (Heather) Stevens; also his mother-in-law, Molie Shelton and Joanne’s family.

Jerry is prediseased by daughter Jerry-Anne Flagg; parents Leroy and Angeline (Angie) (Falconer) Flagg and biological parents, Millen and Treasa Stevens.

Jerry wishes was to have no visitation or funeral service.

Donations in his Jerry’s memory may be made to The Charlotte County Cancer Society, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
