It is with a heartfelt sadness that we announce that, after a brief illness, Joan Doreen Rogers (nee Schousboe) passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 13, 2020 at the Moncton Hospital. She was 89 years old. Born in Bloomfield, NB on Dickie Mountain on August 17, 1930, she was the proud daughter of Danish immigrants, Gustav and Helvig Schousboe.

Joan is survived by her five sons fathered by her first husband, Ralph Whiteley: Cyril, Peter (CJ), Stephen (Lisa), Eric (Joanne) and Ian (Francine). She is also survived by her beloved brother Peter (Jenipher), as well as a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her step-children from her second and third marriages to Thomas Pittaway Sr and Arnold Rogers respectively. Joan was a very strong supporter of family and she would stay in touch with almost everyone who found themselves as part of her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Gustav and Helvig, and her three husbands (Ralph Whiteley, Thomas Pittaway Sr and Arnold Rogers).
