Obituary for Sylvia Hickey

The death of Sylvia Hickey of Lorne occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 14, 2020 at the age of 91. Born in Lorne she was the daughter of the late John R Carrier and the late Evangeline Hickey.

Sylvia is survived by her four daughters; Janice (Edward) of Lorne; Jessie Lavigne (Clement) of Lorne; Anne (Gerald) of Lorne; Ruby Mallaley (Allain) of Lorne; eight grandchildren Jason, Jody, Allison, Mellissa, Adam, Jamie, Sandy, Ryan; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter Ella; sisters Tillie, Jacqueline (Alphie), Feeny, Pauliphy (Allison), Gisele; brother Tony (Susan).

She is also predeceased by her husband Edmond Hickey; son-in-law Ralph Jr (Codger) Mallaley and her brother Lonnie.

The family would also like to thank the medical surgical unit (4th floor) for the wonderful care given to their Mom over the pass year.

To Villa Renaissance although she was only there a short time for making her feel welcome.

Also a big thanks to her home care workers for all the special care given to her in the past years.

A big thank you for Dedine for being there when she needed her.

Funeral will be held at the St Maria Goretti Church Lorne Wednesday 19, 2020 at 2 pm with visitation Tuesday evening from 7 to 9.

In lieu of flowers donation’s can be made to St. Maria Goretti Church.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home Black Point.
