Obituary for Jeremiah Freeman

Jeremiah “Jerry” D. Freeman, 73, of K. E. Spencer Memorial Home, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, February 17, 2020. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clifford Freeman and Mary (Dale) (Freeman) Beverley.

In his earlier years, Jerry worked at Mountain Way Grocer and John Sherwood Carpentry. He then had a career well drilling, working many years at Walter Chappell Well Drillers. Jerry was a member of the Magnetic Hill Lions Club for many years. He enjoyed coffee, a cold beer, country music and going for drives.

Jerry will be sadly missed by his wife, Therese (Rossignol) Freeman of Moncton; stepchildren, Sandra Hartman (Steve), Davis Kennerson (Carrie Ann), Michael Kennerson (Teresa) and Patrick Kennerson (Leslie); grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Ethan, Michael, Noah, Brett-Ann, Patrick and Tim; sister, Faye Freeman; brothers, Allen Freeman (Shari) and Don Freeman (Sue), as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister Mary Ann and infant brother, Michael Patrick.

Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Friday, February 21, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, followed immediately by a Service to celebrate and honour Jerry’s life in Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 pm, with Rev. Dr. Jim Beverley officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
