Obituary for Marie–Paule DeGrace

At the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital, Mrs. Marie–Paule DeGrace of Fredericton passed away on February 20th, 2020. She was 80 years old. Born in Campbellton, NB she was a daughter of the late Gerard and Fernande (Plourde) DeGrace.

She is survived by her brother Jacques DeGrace (Bernadette) of Fredericton and her sister Therese (Germain) of Longueil, one nephew Francois (Caroline) of Longueil.

She was predeceased by one brother Pierre DeGrace.

She taught school in Bathurst and Montreal, after her studies in library sciences, she worked for the federal government in Ottawa as a librarian. She retired from the federal government in 1999 and moved from Ottawa to Fredericton in 2015.

Visitation will be at the church from 11 AM to service time. A Funeral Mass will be held at Ste. Anne des Pays Bas on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 at 12 Noon with father Melanson officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in St. Francis of Assisi cemetery.

Donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Bishop’s Funeral Home, Fredericton (458–1885) have been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Online condolences and the sharing of memories may be expressed through www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
