Obituary for Emile Tremblay

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 19th, 2020 at the age of 94, Emile Tremblay of Dalhousie, husband of Léona (Hachey) Tremblay. Born in Dalhousie on February 7th, 1926, son of the late Louis Tremblay and the late Blandine Lafrance.

He had a family farm in Darlington and he created the subdivision Tremblay Street. He worked for NBIP for 27 years at the wharf and was a member of the International Longshoreman Association Local 1433.

He is survived by his wife, Léona Tremblay; his daughters Thérèse and Suzanne (Ed); his sons Pierre (Juliette), Paul (Johanne), Léo and Louis (Sandra); his 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his family.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his two brothers, Louis and Léo and his four sisters Amy, Alice, Béatrice, and Imelda.

Funeral mass was held at St. Jean Baptiste Church, Dalhousie, on Monday February 24th at 2:00 pm.

Donations to a charity of the Donor’s Choice or The Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
