Obituary for Donald McGuire

It is with sadness the family of Donald Kenneth “Don” McGuire announces his passing on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Born July 9, 1939, he was a son of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Heenan) McGuire.

Don retired from Rothesay Paper LTD in 1994 after a lengthy career. He dedicated his life to raising his four children.

Don is survived by his children Cathy (Dwight), Debbie (Steve), Pat, and Steve; grandchildren Sarah, Stephanie, Emily, Eric, Alex, and Evan; great-granddaughter Gracelynn; brothers Jack (Patsy) and Bob; sister Joan (Ken); as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Don is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Beatrice; sister Betty; and great-granddaughter Rebecca.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Rocmaura for their care and compassion for Don during his stay.

In keeping with Don’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

Donations in Don’s memory may be made to the Rocmaura Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
