Obituary for Ray Sacobie

1942-2020
The family is saddened to announce the passing of Ray Allen Sacobie, which occurred Monday, February 24 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born September 8, 1942, on what is known as the “old reserve”, he was the son of the late Frank and Berta (Nash) Sacobie.

Ray is survived by his loving spouse, Gloria; Loving daughter Raylene Sacobie; Rays stepson Sean Burgess; granddaughter Raven, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and his babies, Peaches and Brownnoser.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Molly Newman, Warren Sacobie, Mike Sacobie, Glenna Paige, and Bert Sacobie.

He was also predeceased by his son Kenny Sacobie (Munster).

Ray was a proud Maliseet man, and was fluent in his language, Speaking it even right up to the end. He was a simple man, who didn’t need possessions to make him happy. He loved his family and will be remembered for his raw sense of humor.

There will be no formal visitation or Service. There will be a celebration of life held at St Mary’s Entertainment Centre on Friday, February 28 at 12 pm.
