Obituary for Léo Léger

1935 – 2020
Léo Léger, 84, of Saint-Paul, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. He was married to Delcina (Belliveau) Léger. Born in Saint-Paul, he was the son of the late Raymond and the late Marguerite (Léger) Léger.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Delcina, his four children; Alfreda Melanson (Gerald) of Notre-Dame, Léonard (Joanne) and Paul of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Yvon of Saint-Paul, his nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn four sisters; Lorraine Jaillet of Bouctouche Bay, Marie Fillmore (Donny) of Claireville, Florine Pitre (Léonard), Edna Henri (Valmond) of Waltham, one brother Laurie of Bouctouche as well as several nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by one son Donald (1998), five sisters; Alfreda, Alma, Géraldine, Patsy, Emma and seven brothers; Alfred, Ben, Eloi, Oscar, Denis, Léandre and Pierre.

Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul-de-Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, on Friday February 28, 2020 from 7 to 9 and on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday February 29, 2020 at the Saint-Paul de Kent Church at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.

In Léo’s memory, donations may be made to the CHUDUMONT Foundation.
