Obituary for Evelyn Amero

Evelyn Beatrice Amero of Saint John, NB passed away on February 25th, 2020. Born in Doucetville, N.S on April 1, 1923, she was the daughter of Albert and Annie (Robichaud) Amero.

Evelyn is survived by her nieces; Sandra and Shirley Olsen and several other nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was predeceased by her brothers Delbert, Emil, Wilbert (Evelyn) and Pat, sisters Doris (Pat), Clare (Ron), Laura (Paul), Ella (Howard) and Pauline (Leo).

Evelyn worked for a number of years as a sales clerk at MRA, and then the Woolworth Company where she retired at 63. She enjoyed good health and remained ‘active’ until the age of 90.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Assumption Church on Monday, March 2nd, 2020 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery with a reception afterwards at the Assumption Centre.

Donations in Evelyn’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Assumption Church Building Fund, or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com
