Obituary for Kenneth Agnew

1937 - 2020
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Agnew at The Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Friday, March 20, 2020. Born on December 23, 1937, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mable (Kervin) Agnew.

Ken graduated from Moncton High School in 1956 and graduated from UNB Fredericton in 1961 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He then worked at the Canadian Gypsum Company from 1961 to 1967 and then instructed Civil Engineering at NBCC Moncton from 1967 to present, with a brief retirement. Ken had a passion for teaching and loved the people he worked with.

Ken loved sports and in his younger days played hockey and curled. He and his teammates had an eight ender, which is very rare. His favourtie hockey team was the Toronto Maple Leafs and he also loved reading.

Ken is survived by his daughter, Vicki (Yvonne); his son, Darren (Leeann); grandchildren, Alex and Nathan; his great-grandchildren, James and Megan; his sister, Joyce Ogden (late Morris) and several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jacqueline of Strathadam, NB (1960 – 2006); his twin sisters, Gloria and Sylvia and his brothers, David and Raymond Junior.

Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements. Upon Kenneth’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The family invites you to sign the online book at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
