Obituary for Barry Stone

Hammonds Plains, NS – We are heartbroken to announce that Barry passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 24, 2020 at the age of 56 at his home in Hammonds Plains. Barry grew up in Dartmouth and lived in Fredericton for 21 years, before moving back to HRM in 2016.

He was a wonderful, dedicated husband and father to his wife Joanne and son Brandon. He is predeceased by his brother Michael, and his mother Patricia who passed away last Fall. He is survived by his father John Stone of Dartmouth, brother Paul Stone (Denise) of Dartmouth, in–laws Reid and Jeanine Hurley of St. Andrews, NB, sister–in–law Mary–Anne Hurley–Corbyn (Peter) of Fredericton, NB and nephews Andrew Kinley and Joshua Stone and nieces Sara Stone and Paige Corbyn.

Barry loved vehicles and was a mechanic for the Province of NB and more recently worked for Loblaws. He enjoyed all sports, with his passion being hockey. His best pal was his dog Rocco who stayed by his side.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Due to the current COVID–19 restrictions, a service may be held and communicated at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Dartmouth Funeral Home. Online condolences by visiting www.dartmouthfuneralhome.ca
