Obituary for Gale Ender

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gale Emily (Thompson) Ender at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the age of 80. Gale was born in Chipman on April 24, 1939 daughter of the late Freeman and Velma (Webber) Thompson.

She is survived by daughter, Beverley Hay (Roger Brown); sons, Brian (Tanya) Ender and Michael Ender; grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon, Stephanie, Megan, Justin and Jessica; sister, Authora MacBeth; several nieces, nephews and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Gale was predeceased by her husband, Ron; twin sister, Glenna; sisters, Pearl and Edna; brothers, Carl (Ab), Sterling and Lester.

While living in Montreal, she spent most of her time at home raising her family. She was a very social person who enjoyed bowling, bingo, darts and spending time with her friends and church family. After her husband passed, she returned to Chipman to live with her daughter.

We would like to thank mom’s homemakers, Laurie and Brenda; Dr. Prendergast, Roddy Barton; extramural nurses and palliative care staff especially Dr. Blyth, Dr. MacDonald; nurses, Krista and Leslie for their kind and compassionate care.

Due to the current health crisis, there will be no visitation or service at this time. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.

Donations in memory of Gale made to the charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home Ltd. & Crematorium. (339-6612). Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca
