Obituary for Clairaine Magee

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Clairaine (Claire) Alma Magee announce her passing on March 25, 2020 at Kennebec Manor nursing home. Claire was born on July 20, 1923 in Edmundston, N.B. to the late Joseph Megilde and Amelia Marie (Roussel) Coutourier.

Claire is survived by three sons, Gerald Magee, of Calais Me., Wayne (Roseanne) Magee, of Saint John, Donald (Heather) Magee, of GrandBay, one daughter, Linda Kierstead, of Public Landing, one brother, Jacques (Gloria) Coutourier, of Quebec, two sisters-in-law, Aline Coutourier, of Edmundston, and Eileen Magee, of Saint John, eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, seven step-great- grandchildren, four great-great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Claire was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Gordon Magee, son Brian Magee, and grandson Brett, and several brothers and sisters.

Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. saint John, N.B., (634 1701) have been entrusted with the arrangements. Due to COVID–19, a Celebration of her life will be held at a later date. A private family burial will take place in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com

A special Thank You to Dr. Le, staff of 3AN and 5CS of the S.J.R.H., and all the Nurses at Kennebec Manor Nursing Home for the great care and compassion of our mother Claire.
