Obituary for Sonja Furrow

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sonja Eileen (Duplissea) Furrow of Marne NB, who passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, Carleton County, NB on June 28, 2020. She was born in St. Stephen, NB on September 5, 1943.

Sonja is survived by her husband Lester Furrow; her daughter Stephanie Hardy; granddaughter Mellissa Fitzgerald and great granddaughter Brooklyn Finnie.

She was predeceased by parents, Carey Allen Duplissea and Grace Eileen (Hood) Duplissea; a brother David Carey Duplissea and her son, Brian Wendall Hardy.

It was Sonja’s wish to be cremated with no formal service. This was carried out under the direction of Flewelling Funeral Home, Nackawic, NB. A graveside committal service will be held at Marne Cemetery, Marne, NB on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11 am with Rev. David Mercer officiating.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Sonja, the family has suggested the Canadian Cancer Society.
