Obituary for Carl Nelson

1925-2020
It is with great sadness Carl’s family announce his passing at The Moncton Hospital on Friday evening, July 10, 2020. Born in Lower Cape, Albert County, NB on November 11, 1925 to the late George and Charlotte “Lottie” (Russell) Nelson.

Carl retired from Air Cargo with 35 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Trinity United Church, Riverview. Carl was an avid hunter, having shot his last deer in his 93rd year, and enjoyed a game of golf. He loved to watch ball especially when his Toronto Blue Jays were playing. Carl was a past member of the Albert County Trailblazers. In later years he loved his visits to Hillsborough Irving socializing with his friends.

Carl is survived by his sister Margaret Drury of Sussex, NB (late Wilfred T. Drury), (late Gregory M. Collier) and many nieces nephews and cousins. His in-laws Terry and Donna Fenton, Brenda and Gary Barkhouse, Carol and Dale Lauder as well as Jerry and Dawn Fenton and their families.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Kathleen “Kaye” (Fenton) Nelson in 1995 and siblings Marion, Eleanor, Russell, Maurice, James, Kathryn, Bernard and Harry.

A private family Funeral service lead by Rev. Janice MacLean will be at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm. (COVID-19 guidelines will be followed). Interment will be in Curryville Cemetery, Curryville.
