Obituary for Edward Comeau

Comeau, Edward Joseph “Ed ” “Buck” ~ Age 70, of Kingston, Kings Co., N.S., passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020, in Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton, N.S. Born on July 28, 1949, in Loggieville, New Brunswick, he was a son of the late Melbourne and Elsie (Robichaud) Comeau.

Edward had served for 37 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, retiring as a Master Warrant Officer. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus. Edward enjoyed fishing, carpentry, playing the guitar and dancing at the legion. He loved his dog Rudy.

Surviving are his wife, the former Gail M. Gaudet ; children, Todd Comeau, Edmonton, AB; Chris (Tina) Comeau, Greenwood, N.S.; Jeff (Lindsay) Comeau, Kingston, N.S.; Danielle (Paul) Comeau, Greenwood, N.S.; Chris (Shari) Gaudet, New Minas, N.S.; Darren (Angela) Gaudet, New Glasgow, N.S.; grandchildren, Sydney, Emma, Brayden, Ethan, Nickolas, Layla, Tate and Macy; brothers, Donnie (Donna) Comeau, Napan, N.B.; Wayne (Rosella) Comeau, Kouchibouguac, N.B.; Stephen (Grace) Comeau, St. Peters, N.S.; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, the former Elaine Davidson; brother, Danny Comeau.

Due to public gathering restrictions, there will be no visitation. Funeral liturgy will take place and will be available to be viewed through the funeral home website “Live Stream” option beginning at 10:55 a.m., Wednesday, July 22. Rev. Father John MacPherson officiating, with interment at a later date in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Chatham, N.B. Donations in his memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
