Obituary for Maxine Johnston

1929 – 2020
Maxine Augusta Johnston, of Moncton, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Lila (Langille) Johnston.

Maxine graduated from Oulton's Business College and had a long and successful career in public service, working for Corrections Canada and Fisheries and Oceans. She had a great love of competitive curling and spent many years playing with the local Moncton clubs. Maxine also loved spending time with her family and friends, and spent many happy summers at her cottage at Pointe–du–Chene.

Maxine will be fondly remembered by her sister Katherine, and many nieces and nephews.

Aside from her parents, Maxine was predeceased by her brothers Frank, and Joseph, as well as her sisters Eleanor Finney, Marion Creaghan, and Betty Wallace.

In keeping with Maxine's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A family service will take place at a later date.

In Maxine's memory, donations made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB (506) 857–9544. Online condolences can be made at www.tuttlefuneralhome.ca
