Obituary for Andrew Thomas

The community of Robinsonville was deeply saddened and shocked by the unexpected passing of Andrew Colin Thomas, which occurred at his home on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020. Andrew was born on April 22nd, 2001 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital to Lisa and Colin Thomas.

He attended school in Tide Head, Middle School and graduated with honors from Sugarloaf Senior High in 2019; he was the recipient of several Most Valuable Player Award during his time playing Basketball with The School Team. At the early age of 14, he started to work at Atlantic Superstore, saving money to buy a 4 wheeler, he then went to work at Restigouche River Experience Centre. Always eager to be working, fishing, hunting and caring for his animals and his favourite duck "Jean François". He attended CCNB, Moncton where he studied to become an electrician.

He is survived by his parents, Lisa and Colin Thomas, his maternal grandparents, Marjorie and Albert Nicolle, his uncle Brent Nicolle, cousin Kyle Nicolle, his aunt Lisa Craswell, and also survived by many relatives and friends who will remember his awesome smile and his gentle nature for many days to come.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Randolph and Ada Thomas.

Andrew rested at Maher's Funeral Chapel on Sunday, July 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. A service of Celebration and Remembrance was held on Monday July 6 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Jim Postlethwaite of Tide Head United Church. Family tribute was given by his Aunt Lisa Craswell, expressing love and thoughts of her special nephew. Hymns chosen were "Shall we gather at the river" and "Go rest high on the mountain". Honorary pallbearers were : Ernie Murray, Robert Nicolle, Donald Downs, Jayden Savoie, Joey Claridge. Active pallbearers: Brent Nicolle, Kyle Nicolle, Matthew Lodge, Calvin Cooling, Logan Robertson, Brandon Main. Interment in United Church Cemetery, Upsalquitch.

We love and miss you "Baby Boy", until we meet again.
