Obituary for Zoël Albert

1932 - 2020
Zoël Albert, 87, of Foyer Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Bouctouche, passed away on Monday, September 14th, 2020, at his residence. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Elizabeth (née: Bastarache) Albert.

Zoël had a passion for country and western music; he could usually be found listening to vinyl records in his spare time. He was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or, the Knights of Columbus (council #7948) and Sainte-Marie parish.

He is survived by two sisters: Odila (Frank) Newcomb of Grande-Digue and Cecile (late Antoine) Goguen of Shediac Bridge; four brothers: Emile (Florine), with whom he resided since 1963, Félix (Zita), Léo (Jeannette) and Eric (Shirley), all of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent; two sisters-in-law: Alma and Joanne; his goddaughter, Dorine, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one sister, Corinne and also by three brothers: Henri, Louis-George and Joe.

Masks are mandatory and social distancing must be respected.
Visitation will be held from Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Funeral Salon, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, on Thursday, September 17th, 2020 from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. A private funeral mass by invitation will be held. Interment in the parish cemetery, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. Arrangements entrusted to Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901). www.chartersville.com
