Obituary for Donald Bruce

The passing of Donald Raymond Bruce of Fredericton, NB, husband of Avis (Robinson) Bruce, occurred on Thursday, September 14, 2020 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 29, 1933 in Barkers Point, NB, he was the son of the late Clarence and Ida (Rideout) Bruce.

Donald worked for NB Power and was a member of the 25 year Club.

In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by his brother, Dave Bruce (Willa); numerous nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, and special friend, Tommy Reid.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Evelyn MacFarland and Beryl Breau; infant brother, Robert and brother, Neil "Mack".

Due to the current COVID-19 health situation the Funeral Service will be by invitation only from Greenwood Drive Baptist Church with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Interment will take place in Marysville Baptist Extension Cemetery.

The family wish to express their gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses on the 3rd Floor at the Chalmers Hospital for their care and compassion and also to the wonderful staff at Paradise Villa.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
