Obituary for Robert Clark

It is with sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Winsor Clark announce his peaceful passing at the Dr. Everette Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on October 15, 2020. Our father was the son of the late J. Alvin and Lillie (Northrup) Clark and the husband of the late Cora (Moss) Clark. He was born in Norton, NB on May 4, 1933. As his family grew to include three adoring sisters the family then moved to the beautiful Town of Sussex, that he loved and always called home.
A trustworthy, diligent, and loyal employee best describes our father who began working on a dairy farm and in the woods at a very young age. His exceptional work ethic earned him a 28-year career with the Town of Sussex followed by an additional 18 years at the Mill Cove Nursing Home. Upon his retirement he continued to work every day in a volunteer capacity. If asked why he worked so tirelessly, and without complaint, he would always respond that he needed to take care of his family.
Our father is survived by his loving sister Mary Jack, daughters Kathryn Clark (Grant Hooper) and Carol Clark-Caterini (Darren Caterini), several nieces and nephews. In his later years, he enjoyed his constant campion, Sally, a sensory dog whom he loved and cared for dearly.
Besides his parents and wife of 50 years, Cora, he was also predeceased by, daughter Sandra Marlene Clark, sisters; Annie Fair and Thelma Moss, brothers in-law; Philip Jack, George Fair and Ronnie Moss. His heart was broken in 2013 when he lost his beloved grandson and buddy, Connor May.
Our father is also predeceased and survived by several members of the Moss family.
A special thank you to the numerous Health Care professionals, who we entrusted our father’s care; Terraces on Cliff Special Care Home & Horizon Veterans Health Unit in Fredericton, Mill Cove Nursing Home, Dr. Haines, Dr. O’Neill and the caring Doctors and Nurses of The Dr. Everette Chalmers Hospital.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace’s Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506) 433-1176. Visitation will be held at the Mill Cove Church of God on Monday, October 19th from 1:00 to 3:00PM followed by a Celebration of Robert’s Life at 3:00 PM. In keeping with the guidelines of NB Public Health, please wear a mask and respect social distancing. Interment will be held at the Mill Cove Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a memorial donation, the family would appreciate consideration of the Alzheimer’s Society, Mental Health Association or to the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made to WallaceFuneralHome.com
