Dear Kathryn, Carol, Allen, Bonnie, Andi and Scott,
How shocking it was to learn of your loss. There is no way to understand the sorrow you must feel now. As everyone has said, Chris was one of a kind. His love for God, family, work, friends and those less fortunate touched everyone who knew him. He welcomed me to Elsberry as an 11-year-old and kept me attending the United Methodist Church. He let me drive his purple VW bug when I was 13, and I couldn't get the darn thing into reverse (sorry, Kathryn!) I never drove illegally again. When trouble in Ferguson began 11 days ago, and the Highway Patrol was brought in to help calm the city, the first person I thought of was Chris. He had a gift for soothing others, and I hope the people he taught carried his example with them. We will miss him terribly.
"Dear Kathryn, Carol, Allen, Bonnie, Andi and Scott,
How shocking it was to lear"
Our hearts are always broken when one of our Trooper family is taken. Please know that even though we haven't met, our thoughts and prayers are with you always. As a mother of a current Trooper, we feel you loss.
Chris was a wonderful Christian man - full of life that brought a smile to anyone he came in contact with. Our hearts and prayers go out to Bonnie and the family, as he is a bright light that will be missed in this world, but oh the joy that is going on in heaven. God bless you all.
Bonnie, please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Chris was a remarkable man who lived his life with joy, humility and love for others. He will be missed.
