The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Reed Benson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Reed us always remembered. Reed, like his parents, taught us, and lived the Savior and the freedom and liberty we are entitled to as our Savior's gift, how it is eternal. Reed is eternal, loved eternally with our imperfect love, but perfectly by our Savior's perfect love. God bless each of you, eternally.

Condolence: Reed will be well received in the hearafter, he was a great friend, a great teacher, and a great support in our small branch at Lackland AFB where we were in the Air Force together. His teaching to non-LDS service members could be taught in any of our wards. The Chapel was always full. He truly was one of the best. Condolence to the family.

Condolence: Dear Benson Family, our parents, Ken and Rae Howard had so much love and admiration for your father. He walked the talk and was so passionate about his family, God and country. It was a pleasure to see him throughout the years from time to time. We send our love to you all.

Condolence: Reed was one of the most remarkable men that I have known. I spent a lot of time with him as a missionary. He had a profound influence on my life. I am thankful to have witnessed his example of living a life that exemplified principles of Christianity. I wish to express my condolences to the family for their loss. There are many that are saddened by his passing.

Condolence: I am saddened to hear of President Benson's passing. I was blessed to serve as a missionary for two years under his tutelage. What I learned has blessed nearly every day of my life since. May God's tender care envelope your entire family as you mourn and also celebrate his faith filled, devoted life

Condolence: Dear May and kids: Kaye and I feel your loss as Reed has moved on to a better place. He's struggled for years like Job of the Old Testament, always an example of cheer when he could express himself. While we differed on a few political issues, he always treated me with respect, and we grew to joke about U.S. politics over the years. May, you've been a real hero and a perfect example of a devoted and loving wife. May you recover quickly from your recent injuries, and be able to move forward with the stout faith you have always had. May the entire Benson tribe feel the peace of out Savior at this tender time. Love, Warner & Kaye

Condolence: There will always be love for Reed, and for the members of the Benson family. There is hardly a more profound family I have ever met, one more faithful, one more loving, and Reed was a kind a loving part of that. He has a great work to do where he is now, with his parents. He has a lot to do, that is just who he eternally will be.

Condolence: Dear Aunt May and Family,

I'm sorry for your loss, but, I'm sure that Uncle Reed is full of joy seeing all those family members and friends that preceded him. I'll always remember his quick smile and laugh. I will also be forever in awe of his ping pong skills! I love you all.
