The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marguerite Aitken can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Deet gave our Doctor permission to talk to me about Deets medical condition. The first time I called the Doctor for an update, the Dr. went on and on about Isabel this and Isabel that. Weird but I chalked it up to being late in the day. Later that week, I was visiting Deet at the hospital. The physiotherapist was doing some excercises with Deet and calling her Isabel. I finally piped up and asked why she was calling her Isabel. Turns out Isabel was Deets Legal name. Which she hated and never used. Who knew!!

Condolence: I’ve lost a lifelong and very, very dear friend. George and I first met Marg in Woodstock at Knox Presbyterian Church in 1949. We, along with Winnifred and Harold Gunn were members of the young people’s group. Marg became an aunt to our four children. Although our lives went in different directions, we all stayed in touch over the past 68 years and got together whenever possible. It’s hard to believe that she is gone. To the Tattersall and Reinhart families I send my deepest sympathies and hope you find comfort in the memories that you shared with her.

Condolence: I was very young when Auntie Marg first moved to Windsor. I remember visiting with her, Ina and Merv at their home on Rankin. My memories were of a kind and caring person who always showed interest in whatever I did or was doing. Auntie Marg will be truly missed by the entire Armbrust family.

Condolence: Condolence to Aitken Family & Friends. Its sad to lose someone in death. What helped me the most was prayers and faith in God’s promise at Psalm 34:18 “God is close to the broken heart: he saves those who are crushed in spirit.” For more comforting scriptures, please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. God’s Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for will bring about these wonderful promises. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. If you wish to contact me at: ikeyes@msn.com
