The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lorenzo Louis Boudreau can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

How I met Lorenzo

One of my first career jobs was a Sales Representative for a large Canadian company. My route carried me 1 week of each month to Cape Breton. My Father had often said, "If you are in Arichat, and have a minute, go to Lorenzo's garage and introduce yourself."  It seemed each time I was in that area, it was friday afternoon and I was anxious to get home.

Finally, one lazy day, I had some time and went to the garage, asking for Lorenzo . A lad pointed out this man welding under a car. I approached him and said," My Father told me to look you up if I was in the area."

He took his welding glasses off and asked,"Who is your Father?"  I told him and he immmediately called his staff over and announced that ," This is Dan Brittens' son, Dan Jr. His Father and I went off to fight in the war together."

My family members and I always tried to drop in after that show of friendship back in the early eighties.

We last spoke in the late fall of 2016 at his home, Lorenzo, his wife Corinne , my Sister and I.
