    The Honsa family has been serving families in the White Bear Lake and surrounding area since 1962 when Jim Honsa became a funeral director in White Bear Lake. Jim was an active member of the White Bear Lake Chamber of Commerce, White Bear Lions Club and St. Mary of the Lake Church. In 1994, Jim’s dream of owning his own funeral home came true when he, his wife Joan and daughter Terry built Honsa Family Funeral Home.  Jim died in 2004 and Terry has continued Jim's tradition of caring for the families in our community during their time of need.  We are proud of the individual service we can provide to families at the time of need or in preplanning a funeral. In 2020, we were excited to welcome the third generation into our family business. Julie Honsa joined our staff after graduating from the University of Minnesota.

    Helping You Grieve

    Our experience has taught us that when losing a loved one, those left behind feel lost and alone. Many do not know where to turn to or how to cope. Our grief support programs in place are dedicated to helping you during your difficult time and making each day a little easier for you when a loved one is lost.

    The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lorraine Kolodziej can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.
