Denali moose hunt

Three buds, Ron, Don and Dave head off along the Denali Road to go on a all-terain moose hunt. We all purchased Honda products just prior to the hunt. I had a Honda 4-wheeler but it wasn't 4-wheel drive....  (first year and last), anyway we three talked about a hunting trip around a point we picked on a map. My plan was to haul them and our equipment into the hunting grounds in my trailer. We tested that out and they both chose to buy their own wheels..... another story,(they both came flying out of that trailer on the test drive). Don got a 4-wheeler and Ron got a Big Red 3-wheeler, which he drove well. We camped, then hunted different areas opening morning. Ron was in a high area with good visibility while I took to foot and thumped up into the thick stuff.....hoping to get some stuff moving...... Along the way I lost one of my gloves. I met back up with Ron and Don and Ron asked where I was and I pointed it out. He told me how he saw a grizzly working the ground like a bird dog when it came to something and started tossing it in the air. He was tracking me and tossing my glove. It was only a short time later that we saw a cow moose bust out of that area like the seven stages of heck was on it's back. I guess the bear was tracking me until it smelled better game. I recall the visibility was only feet in the thick brush just past where I lost my glove. While returning to camp we decided to drag in some firewood with the wheelers. It was a race and I had a bit more time on my machine than they did. I was behind but had a big dead bushy spruce in tow and I passed them both on this narrow little trail.......hahahaha. They both looked like they had been in a cat fight with all the scratches.....the race was on and ended with all three of us looking beat up but laughing and most of the wood gone. We came home mooseless but memory rich.....dang....I could tell three more stories about that trip alone.....Ron buddy, come be a ghost at my place, it'll work.
