Condolences

Condolence From: Diane (Lila) Haisha-DeForest
Condolence: I stand before you today, the second daughter of five, as we are all united here in our desire to pay our respects to Harry Haisha.

Today is our chance to say thank you to you, for the way you brightened each of our lives, your brilliant sense of humor, your own unique style both in living life and in your vibrant clothing style.

Thank you for your compassion for those less fortunate and for always being there to listen and lend a helping hand or a wad of cash.

You carried in your heart a strong sense of loyalty to the traditions of the Chaldean people and became the President of their Club for many years. Your people, your family and your friends meant the world to you, more than anything money could possibly buy.

Other than your family and your endless parade of friends - your passion for cards, dice, horses and cigarettes were seen by many as a vice, but they brought such joy to your life ….and in the end, may each of us be so lucky as to be able to choose how we spend our time and enjoy our own lives.
I would like to end by thanking God, and each of you my dear cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, both recent and lifelong, for all the love and support you have shown my Dad, my sisters, and I during this difficult time. Thank you all for your extraordinary efforts, please know that they did not go unnoticed or unappreciated by my father or by us, his daughters.

And above all let us give thanks for the life of a man, who I am so proud to be able to call my father, the unique, the exciting, the extraordinary and irreplaceable Harry. whose spirit will never be extinguished from our hearts.

Dad, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.
