Picinicinics

Sammy and I were only a couple weeks apart in age so we were close as kids. Sleepovers, delivering papers, playing guitars, discovering girls, we did a lot together! But my favorite memories were our family picnics at Buffalo Beach and Chestnut Ridge. Janet, Sam's Mom and my adopted "Aunt" would always call them " picinicinics"! To this day, I can not make or eat tuna or shrimp pasta salad without thnking of my Mom Ruthie and my Aunt Janet. They always made it so much fun for us kids. But of course, one picinicic at Chestnut Ridge involved a hike in the woods for Sammy and I. Let's just say that we did not know what hit us as we stepped on that yellow jacket hive! So, as we licked our wounds in the OLV Emergency Room, we definitely had memories that we never forgot! Life gradually took us in different directions but I have never forgot my big adventures with Sammy. God Bless and rest well dear friend.
