Jeraldyne ‘Jeri’ Evans, 94, of Morgan Mill, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 11, 2017 in Stephenville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 14th at Morgan Mill Baptist Church with Joe Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Jeri was born on April 26, 1923 in Morgan Mill to the late Neb W. and Onah E. Gaither Forster. She was raised in Morgan Mill, and graduated from Morgan Mill High School. On December 23, 1942 in Snyder, Jeri married Raeford Gordon Evans. Raeford preceded her in death on September 10, 1999. She was a long time member of the Auxiliary of Gideons International, and Tri County Porcelain Art Club. She was an active member of the Morgan Mill Baptist Church, and was a lifelong resident of Erath County. Jeri was a hairstylist, owning Jeri’s Salon and C. J. Salon for many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Janet and husband, Jim Tucker, of Morgan Mill; son, Hal Evans of Muenster; grandchildren Cecilia Holle, Cyrus Evans, Jaimie Evans, Sarah Kelley, Mike Tucker, Matt Tucker, Holly Hubbard, Tyson Evans, Wyatt Evans, and Greyson Evans; and by numerous great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Jeri was also preceded in death by a son, Jim Evans; and by a sister, Dixie Barton.
