Hard day in the wrestling room

It was 1977, and I had a hard day at practice that day for some reason.  Not enough sleep, too much weight loss, I don't remember the exact reason.  It was late, after practice, and I was one of the last guys leaving.  I saw the light on in coachs office, and stopped in to say goodnight. Coach Orme was in there alone,  I don't remember saying anything to him, and as I looked in his office, he looked right at me and said:

"I know you, and you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to. ANYTHING"  I don't know why he chose to tell me that at that specific moment. And I don't think he was talking about wrestling.

Thanks coach for the great words of encouagement at just the right time.  I've heard your voice a thousand times over the years, and it has helped get me through college, the working world and many difficult situations. Thanks Chilly.
