Mr. Henkel was like a second father to me growing up. Amanda and I became friends when we were toddlers and spent many days and nights at each other's homes. He is a kind and loving man who served the Lord faithfully. He always made an effort to come up to me and give me a hug when I visited Messiah after moving away. He will be greatly missed but his legacy of Christ's love will live on through his family.
