The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Peggie Barnes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The Many Adventures of Emma and Emma Jr.

My favorite memories with Peggy were when my grandma asked me Do you wanna ride out to Peggys?. My grandma has asked me that question at least 3-4 times a year since I was 8 yrs old. My answer was always yes. There was something about going to Chuck and Peggys and sitting at the kitchen table talking about everything under the sun. That kitchen table is probably the most talked about centerpiece of each memory from her friends and family. Peggy my not be my blood relative, but she is FAMILY. I grew up riding in the white ford explorer with the license plate IBEMMA and listening to the adventures of Emma and Emma Jr. (my grandma). I remember making a trip at 8pm just to sit and play dominoes at the table. Peggy always greeted you with a warm smile and plenty of home cooked food. She had the best laugh and loved me as if I was her grandchild. I always felt like a part of Peggys family, and I am heart broken by the loss of such a beautiful soul.
