On December 31st this world lost one of its earthly angels. Our hearts are broken at the loss of a woman who exemplified Christ in ALL that she did, but was able to do so in such a way that it made you want to always be near her. I will always remember how she and Wade made Corky and I feel like we were truly a part of their family after we had moved to Waco and joined Cornerstone Baptist Church. I will never forget the birthday breakfasts at their home and the way she was always so mindfull of Corky’s diabetes.
My sadness and my tears are more for the family and friends left behind. For Wade, who must continue on without his sidekick. For their daughters and their families, who must continue on without the guidance that only a mother can give. For their friends, who always knew that they had at least one friend they could count on, no matter what! I cannot be sad or cry for Regina, because she is safe in the arms of our Heavenly Father and that is to be celebrated!!! We will meet again, Regina and that knowledge gives me such comfort! If you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior then you will find that same comfort. This is not “Goodbye, forever!”, this is only “Goodbye, for now!”. Like the hymn says, “When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be....”. You can all rest assured, Regina is rejoicing in the presence of God!
We love you Wade and your whole family and are praying for God’s love and mercy to cover each and every one of you!
