I wanted to express my sincere condolences for your loss, the one thing we can take comfort in is that as it is brought out in revelation 21:3,4 sickness and death will be no more in the future God promises this, he didn't originally create man to die but to be fruitful and become many. He also promise there will be a resurrection, this given, the resurrection hope, by the example of his son Jesus, helps us accept that our loved ones are at peace no and will be resurrected in the future to a perfect condition.
