Santi Claus/Wedding Fire

We are so sorry to hear about Santi's passing.  While there are truly no words that can fill the gap he has left behind - we do have several fond memories of him (of which, here are a few...).

We remember him dressing and acting as "Santi" Claus for the Christmas season.  It was magical to have him dress up as the "jolly 'ol fellow" for the Christmas gift giving.  We remember him filling in the red suit - but, it was his spirit that was larger than life.  And his laugh made the room shake with happiness.  He "always" had new jokes to share - spreading the "laughter" and "joy" - making the get-togethers so happy and memorable.  (Anyone who had the opportunity to see him "in character" would know that his resemblance to Santa was remarkable, as he truly was able to capture and express his essence).

And we were also blessed to have him as our wedding photographer.  He took beautiful pictures that captured our day for us.  But, we are most grateful to him for "putting out the fire" - that occurred during our first dance.  Shortly after the music started for our dance - the DJ, lit off fireworks in the banquet hall.  We saw a small flame start at the head table (while dancing).  While our Best Man tried to "blow" the flame out - he may have actually fanned the flames instead.  Because, by the time we had spun around 1 more time, the flames were 1.5 feet high.  Most everyone in the hall, sat there "dumbfounded".  But, NOT Santi.  Santi, with his quick thinking - sprang into action.  He grabbed a pitcher of water from a guest table, ran across the hall and dance floor, to douse the flames.  While we didn't have "photographs" of that moment - we will eternally have Santi on our wedding video - saving our day !!!!  Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you !!!

Santi, may you rest in peace (with a smile on your face), knowing that YOU "saved our wedding day" and made a positive difference in our lives (and we are certain - many others).
