The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Charles Carnagie can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

A long time ago

I am remembering Chuck from the very olden days, a very long time ago. He lived on Emerson St then. In Detroit with his parents. I knew them as Aunt Titi and Uncle George. Carolyn was his only sib at the time. This was way before Gregory and Anthony. Sometimes at Christmas the Aunts and Uncles on the Carnagie side would meet at Chuck's. Aunt Titi made ravioli. Gosh, you didn't want to miss her ravioli. She would also serve cold-cuts and cheese. After supper the cousins got to play hide'n seek downstairs in the cellar where the coal bin was. Oooh, scary. We had fun. When our hearts were young and gay.
