Bobby D. McCarley
Bobby D. McCarley, age 85 years, passed away on Thursday,January 11,2018, at his home in Winnsboro. He was born February 1,1932, in Westminster, Texas to the late Robert Melton McCarley and Tina Cornelia McClure. He married the love of his life, Bobbie J. Rule on May 24,1950..They celebrated 67 years together.He was of Church of Christ faith. B.D. retired as a driver from the Dallas Fire Department after 28 years. He was so proud to serve as a fireman. On his days off he drove a truck for Central Freight Lines and other odd jobs.
He was preceded in death by his parents,a sister, Vivian Giles, an older brother,Leroy McCarley,and his twin brother, Wiley J. McCarley.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie, son and daughter in law, Thomas Edward and Joyce McCarley of Mount Vernon, Tx., daughter and son in law, Susie and Jeff Zimmerman of Winnsboro Tx. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. Grandchildren are Gretchen and Jeremy Baber of Winnsboro, Casey and Kristi Zimmerman of College Station, Tx.,Shawn and Michelle McCarley of Cookville, Tx. Great Grandchildren are Paige, McCarley, Callie and Kennedy Baber of Winnsboro, Elise and Kyle Cooper Zimmerman of College Station Tx, Ty McCarley of Mount Vernon Tx., Callie Jo Thompson, Cassity Henigan,Colby Henigan of Cookville,Tx.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the ETMC Home Health Care and Heart to Heart Hospice. They were wonderful. In Lieu of flowers family request donations to Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Winnsboro Texas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15th, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am, interment will be at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro.
