Condolence: One of my fondest memories growing up is the time I spent at Lyncourt School with Mr. D. We'd have practice in a tiny room off the gym in 1957-1990. When I visited Mr. D a few years ago at Lyncourt school we laughed when he remembered I wasn't his best student! I was 1st chair clarinet. My proudest moment was playing at Crouse College. Years ago I mailed him the record of that performance. I had a lot of respect for him and admired his patience. When I saw him he looked the same as he did in 1960, smiling and fit, even if his hair wasn't black anymore. He gave a lot to so many and has left his mark. My heart goes out to all his family who he often mentioned with great pride. We are all better for having known him. Thank you Mr. D.

Condolence: My thoughts and prayers go out to Pat and her entire family. Tony will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. He was a true gentleman and an extremely talented educator. Tony always greeted students, staff, parents and community members with a smile and sincere compassion. We were all very lucky to have Tony in our lives. His legacy will go on forever...

Condolence: To the DeAngelis family (Mrs. D, Andrea, Maria, and my dearest friend, Tori),

I am so saddened to hear about Mr. D’s passing! I have many fond memories of him from my many trips across the street to be with Tori. I remember his impressive garden, his legendary tomato sauce (loved reading about this in his obit) boiling on the stove, but most of all his puns! That man had more puns at his disposal than anyone I have since met. (“Why don’t you go over to that window — I can help you out”). Of course what I remember most was his welcoming warmth and good humor. His smile lives on in my heart.

Wishing you peace and love in the days ahead,
Elly
